See people using these all the time, if you do not want to purchase a trailer.

Bike in a truck is no worse than a bike in a canoe.

The newer 3/4 and 1 tons truck have caused many issues because of their heights. I know of people that would have bought new but instead put over $5000 into the older trucks. Look up motorcycle loaders for options on the winch powered loaders. But from what I have seen, a trailer is less costly, has more uses, and doesn't tie up the bed of the truck.

https://www.uhaul.com/Trailers/Motor...ler-Rental/MT/ It actually had a wheel chock type thing in the front. The front of the trailer also affords some extra protection from road debris. I did a little research, thinking it might be nice to own one of these. Apparently Uhaul does not sell their used trailers like they do the trucks. They also get all of the steel components shipped to an Arizona location and assemble the trailers themselves. So looking for a manufacturer did no good. |
