Keep your bike stock and buy a $5000 Jap bike that'll last forever as a second go to speedster. |
The whole crank thing is a crap shoot. Some stockers have problems and many 120+hp ones don't? It is how ya ride and assembly tolerance/precision. I been running a 112hp 103 on stock crank for a few years, fingers crossed. Are ya feeling lucky??

I feel like if you're going to mess with the 4.375 crank, you should go 117 and have your cases bored. Nothing wrong with having crank addressed for a 107 or 110, but it's minimal cost to go 117.
I did a true, balance and weld on my 107 all bore and I'm glad I did for piece of mind, but I should have gone 117 or 124. |
Not to get even more side tracked.....
For piece of mind, I went DarkHorse for the works and added a SE Timken Bearing last winter when I did my SE 117" Pro Race Big Bore Motor upgrade. To ME, it just made sense. Glad I did! :icon_twocents: YB |
Highly appreciate the input guys- I'll have to add potential Darkhorse service to the list of upgrades.
