Default Harmon Kardon XM radio option

I bought a 2010 FLHTCU peace officer edition with Harmon Kardon sound system with XM option. I would like to uninstall the XM unit&just use radio/CD player. The CD player works, radio shows am/FM/weather band station selected but there is only static. Any info how to proceed?

open up your fairing and see if your antenna is plugged into the unit

Did you check it all the way to the tour pak? Is there a detachable mount to remove the pak? If so the antenna cable may not be connected to the antenna itself.

It's no big deal removing the XM Unit ... Here is a ling to the install directions.
It's J03640 in a pdf format.

thanks,xm unit is off handlebars. There is no separate unit on top of radio inside fairing. All connections to antenna&radio are good. I tested antenna cable, zero resistance. There is an "overlay" harness that plugs into cb unit on top of radio. I can get 2 fm stations, poor quality. I accessed self-diagnostic of radio,it asks for cd,presumably one that effects reprogramming.
