Default Changed clutch cable to +6 cable...clutch does not appear to engage

I replaced the stock cluctch cable with a +6 cable from magnum to accommodate higher bars.

Now, with bike off, in gear clutch lever fully pulled, the bike does not freely roll. I've read several threads stating this is normal, but could swear the bike rolled previously (first harly, owned only a year, losts of other bikes where for sure rolling freely with clutch pulled is the case).

-Any suggestion or can anyone confirm for me that rolling freely with clutch pulled in, engine off is NOT expected?

Any suggestions??

If my bike is cold or been sitting you pretty much need to be in nuetral. Works well enough when warm and running.

Thanks Ben!

you mean you need to be in neutral to move the bike after been sitting awhile?

That's the case, bike sat with oil drained for week or so.

If the bike sits in gear for a while the clutch plates stick. HOld in the clutch while in neutral, and bump the starter a few times, the bike should not move, then slowly release the clutch. Get the primary fluid moving.

Neither my softail or my touring bike will move by simply pulling in clutch lever. If its been sitting, it has to be in neutral to move. Bought my first Harley 4 years ago, freaked me out because my metric would move by simply pulling in clutch lever.
