oil pressure

I have no idea of the oil level or anything. I rented a car and headed home and they said they would tear into it on Monday. I haven't gotten a response to phone calls or e-mails all week. I contacted sales service and the owner. Not even a hey we aren't touching it. Today I contacted the better business bureau and harley to try and find out what's going on. If the missing muffler can cause engine damage why not tell me that? I would have left it. Anyway I guess it's all just a guess as to what the original problem was and maybe never know. There were no oil leaks the first time. He said the oil burns off.

I understand that. At this point I just want to know what's going on with it. Obviously they don't want to talk to me about it. Hoping someone will get any answer from them. I don't want to drive 2 1/2 hours just to hear we aren't touching it. I'll get a truck to pick it up and bring it home. It's very telling that Kojak said the missing muffler can cause serious engine damage, but I was never told that or does it say it on the repair order, but when the sales manage said I was told not to drive it sounds like trying to covering their butt. I was all set to just trade it there and be done until he said that. Thanks again for your input. It's a small thing in the big picture. I've survived being left in the desert in 110 heat and stuck out in -50 wind chill cold. This ain't nothin'. lol
