HDForums has become a disorganized amorphous blob where anyone can post anything anywhere, and the moderators dont enforce any discipline in this regard.
The result is that someone with a 2017 or 2018 touring bike can post a question about footpegs in the M8 forum, which technically is an engine forum, when it should have been posted in the touring forum.
When I call this out, other members give me a beat down because "hey f*cker, its an M8 bike". OK, fine.
Its a complete mess.

As a newish member who doesn’t know just how good you guys had it back in the old days I can tell you the split between Rushmore and touring doesn’t bother me one tiny bit. It takes a half a second to click click when I’m done looking in one section. The NEGATIVITY that often runs rampant is more likely a bigger problem than who put what where. The trolls make it so the vets are always on guard and so god forbid an actual newb with a strange question comes in, ROASTING TIME!
Lol. Having said that I ignore the crap and still find plenty of helpful folks and legit q and a’s.

OK, I'll bite. There are A-holes everywhere, but there still are plenty of decent people too. With that said, I can still filter through the b.s. and extrapolate an answer to just about any issue here.I have learned a lot since coming to this site and saved money by doing much of my own work. But yes, as others have posted, I have spent a lot of money from coming here too. I take the good with the bad and don't give any credence to the bad.

There's been times I;m reading a thread w/ high interest only to find none of it applies to my year of bike.
Maybe posters asking specific questions should be required to (somehow) list the year/model they are inquiring about in their first post.
Example: I've seen guys asking about seats for say a 2003 touring and many chiming in offer suggestions for seats that don't even fit that year of bike.
