I have a metric **** ton invested in mine just to make it sound better and it still disgusts me. Maybe you could make mine and a few tens of thousands other owners sound like a TC?

 

The whining sound is the counterbalancer. If you want a real jetson sound go listen to a ST1300 (Pan European), now there's a Jetson sounding bike

My M8 + Two Brothers slip ons sounds awesome. I'm surprised it's legal.

 

The Jetson tone you get seems to be there regardless with Stage 1 (what I have). It throws me off a bit as I wonder if something is wrong with the bike as I've never really heard that sound with a prior bike (albeit my sole experience prior to my current ride was dirt bikes). Slip on screaming eagles and the modular helmet eliminates the distraction, but whenever I wear a half helmet I'm always wondering if something is off with the bike.

So now I know it isn't just mine...

(still love the look and sound of the bike though).

 

I never thought the M8 sounded like a "Jetsons" vehicle, but whatever.

Steps to a mean-sounding M8:

1. Header
2. Slip-ons
3. Cam
4. Bigger cubes
5. More compression

My stock RK sounds like a Harley, could be louder, but I don't want it to be. On the other hand, my Heritage has Rush Slip-ons, and it sounds AWESOME!!

BTW, I owned an ST1300, and it did sound like was sitting on a turbine engine. Very different than a HD, but I loved it anyway.
