Question Saddle Bag GLO LEDs BURNT OUT?

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.

The previous owner bought and mounted these LEDs bag lights. I have no paperwork or anything for warranty etc.

One the left side the light has like 6 leds and 3 of mine are now burnt out.

Is there anyway to fix them? Is this a common thing with these? What do people do junk chunk them?

I tried to see if there was a way to take them apart, seems like they sealed shut.. unless I missing something

.

Seems like a waste

I just added these to my bike, I believe they come with a only 1 year warranty. Hope mine last, but who knows.

Given some still work, try tracking when wires and make sure none of them are pinched or damaged. Outside of that, I would give a try and take it to a dealer and ask about a replacement

Yes I shook them and seen that all the stuff looks good. If you looks super close you can see the dead LEDs flicker just barely. I mean you have to look super close.

Likely just a diode in there that was sub-par and ate it. If you get one in the bunch with a higher resistance than the others, that one will take more juice, make more heat etc etc. It's a chain reaction kinda thing.

If you've got a line on someone who likes to tinker with electronics, let them fiddle with it. Can't fvck it any more than it is.

You could go to the HD site here. Click on the More Info tab and download the instructions.

The kit is expensive and not sure which parts are sold separately. At least you have some part numbers to see if the dealer can get them for you.

FYI the Light Assemblies are "Not Sold Separately". See the attached Harley Instruction Sheet: Figure #4, Page 5

OTOH I've had them on my bike now for several years and well over 15K with no failures. So . . . . YMMV I suppose.
