Check the connector behind the air cleaner on the throttle body. Might be getting some water in it.
Unplug it and put some dielectric grease in it. Hopefully that will help.

Water in your right hand control module or bad connection between the coil wire(s) and the coil?

Hey Prez "won't start" can mean many things
From turn Ign and kill switch on and nothing - no lights - fuel pump doesn't cycle or the lights and fuel pump come on and the starter cranks but won't start.

Thumbs up

Hecklerboy make sense. After a few years oxidation, moisture coupled with shock/vib become more critical. I would take as many connectors as I could apart, clean the terminals with a connector cleaner, blow them dry and re-coat them with dielectric grease. If you find a nice green crusty one along the way, you may have found you answer. Additionally since the day's of old, secondary wiring is also compromised by moisture.

Have to sit there running and have the hose on and hit the different areas people are saying. If / when it dies, you have an idea as to where it could potentially be the problem.

Definitely sounds like water is your problem. Could be many locations the presence of will cause the bike not to start or run smoothly. Check for codes to get a hint as where the water is finding its way your electrical system.

Dielectric grease. Throttle body connector, both ends of plug wires. Same issue on my 14 Limited. That fixed it.

Greased EVERY connector on my 2001 Heritage, killed all kinds of gremlins. Necessary stuff

It sounds like the connector behind the air cleaner since oyu said it runs rough when you get caught in the rain. I have had a no start myself after washing. I got a little carried away with a little brush and disconnected the coil connector behind the starter/under seat area.
