I had my bike in for a dyno tune. Running TTS MasterTune, TTS-100 cams, Bassani 2-1 exhaust. Guy doing the tuner calls me up and tells me that the clutch is slipping when he had my bike on the dyno and that I need a heavier clutch. He said he hasn't found the stock clutch to be able to hold back the TTS-100 cams yet (he seems to use these cams a lot). Wondering...those of you who run TTS cams...did you need a new clutch too? Seems to me the stock clutch ought to have been fine. Pulling about 105 ft-lbs starting at about 2300 rpms.
I installed an AIM spring in mine when I did cams in my 09 and 10. They have a spring that is in between the stock spring and the SE HD spring. I then went to an AIM VPC when i went to a 107 build
I know a long time engine builder that when a customer wouldn't spring for a heavy duty clutch with a build would just put ATF in the primary as the clutch would hold better.
What would it hurt to try that before rebuilding the clutch?
I have the tts150 cams, 2-1 exhaust, free flowing intake, and a dyno tune (90hp 94ft/lbs). Had the same problem with the clutch slipping under load in 5th and 6th gear. I installed a heavier spring and a vpc clutch and it did the trick.
TTS (the turbo shop) \ (mastertune) is a piece of s**t thieving company, don't buy anything from these idiots and avoid like the plague
F**k TTS
My bike has the TTS. Not a piece of s**t. It does the job that its designed to do. I have no dealings with the company firsthand, My tuner stocks them and likes to use them.
If you have issues with the company I get that. However to say that the tuner is s**t, there are a lot of people that have used it and its done the job it was supposed to do.
