Anyone know or have any comments about the hog works halo light vs non halo light.
Trying to replace factory headlight on 2010 street glide. Also wondering if the factory trim
ring will work with either of these lights. Any pros or cons of either one of these lights?
The ad say these lights will not interfere with radio reception?
Any thoughts on these 2 lights would be greatly appreciated.
I have read many threads but still unclear between these 2 lights.

not that light in particular but i bought saddle bags and hardware, inner fairing and spot lights for mine and nothing fit right, the bag hinges didn't work correctly at all so they gave me a credit which i got the spots, they wouldn't fit into my stock pods so i have decided to stay away from that company for anything... just my experience, the customer service wasn't bad, they did try to work with me a bit but in the end i was S.O.L.

 

OPINION on halo vs non halo: A halo headlight seems to be a cute gimmick on a car where the halo can function as a daylight running light. On a motorcycle where the HEADLIGHT is on all the time, the halo is silly and not very noticeable compared to the brightness of the headlight. I have no knowledge of this particular piece.

 

I have the Hogworkz headlight on my ‘17 and it is a huge improvement. I didn’t go for the halo because I don’t like the look.

 

I have the halo light on my 2018 SGS the fit and quality are top notch.

 

I’ve invested lots of money in my 2011 ultra classic and one of the best investments was the HogWorkz lights. I pondered about the halo also but saved a few bucks and didn’t get it ( no regrets) and I’m glad I didn’t because I’ve seen bikes with them day and night and it’s not that big of a deal. I forgot to mention that the lights are also a very easy install, plug and play.

 

I have the Hap Headlight and Aux lights, looks great and works perfect, much more ;light than stock

 

I have them on my glide.I tried led bulbs.No comparison.These lights are great.

 

I have the halo on my 15 SG and my buddy has the non halo on his bike. Side by side IMO the halo is brighter. In the day light I can't even look at mine it so bright. One of a few purchases that I didn't have buyers remorse. Not sure about that factory trim ring for that year but I'm pretty sure on there website it will tell you if you need to install the trim ring that comes with the light. Either way you can't go wrong.
