Yes, they make different windshields. ALmost everyone changes them a time or two to get what they feel is best for them.
I put 6 hours on my RG today, mix of interstate and country roads...ahhh...

I put a Clearview large on mine with the stock seat it was just about to tall so I picked up an Ultra seat, new and very cheap made the windshield perfect! BUT the ultra seat is not near as comfy as the RG seat in front though my wife loves the new couch If I remember right MM your're not that tall so the stock size Clearview would most likely be best. The clearveiw brings the shield back to you some and the recurve blasts the air up and over you, so given the the same heightthe clearview is hands down the better shield. I would consider looking for a set of used lowersbecause when I put them on my Road Glide itbecame a different machine, not to say it was bad before but MAN what a difference!!! I hope this helped some

MM.... I want out to measure mine (stock), but I can;t find a f'ing tape measure.
If I were gonna replace the stock shield, I would go for the Clearview that is "1 inch shorter that stock". Because it has the spoiler @ the top, it still moves as much air as the taller stock unit, but it's shorter. This would probaly be espically attractive to someone accustomed to the short SG shield. Also, the smoke colored one looks much better than clear!

Thanks phil and gil. Hey that sounds like a Nickelodeon show. And yes phil I am not that tall. Thanks for reminding me. [:@] I am around 5' 8" but tall in the torso. I was looking at one on ebay. It is a 10" dark smoke. I'm wondering if it would still provide good protection. Even the clearview 9". I assume that would act like an 11" with the recurve. I wanted to stay shorter because I want to go with the dark smoke. I have got used to that look. But I also don't want to have a fairing but still get smaked in the face with wind, rain and bugs.
