12” bagger apes on my limited. Mirrors underneath and couldn’t be happier for me at 6 foot

Thanks for all the insight and advice. I am 6' tall. I also have a 2012 Road Glide Custom with 13" apes. The apes on my RG are a little lower than I would like. Since the bikes sit different and have different fairings i wasnt entirely sure if the same height or higher would feel the same.

What did I search for? Different variations of Ultra Limited with apes. I found lots of other models but almost no Ultra Limiteds.

I am very aware that bars are based on comfort. This is the 4th Harley I have owned and I've ridden plenty more with different set ups over the last 23 years. I do not like the feel with the stock Ultra bars and I am comfortable on my RG with apes.

I am asking here because when I have been to the dealer they are not a ton of help on height. I think that shoulder height or just over is comfortable for me.
.
The mirrors, I have no idea on. I still want them to be functional. I like the look either way.

If you have an Ultra Limited or something with a bat wing fairing I'd love to know what height bars, your height, which mirrors and how you like them.

Thank you for the pics. It seems that 12" are popular. Are the RG bars mounted lower?

Pic with my RG bars.

19 Limited with 12" LA Choppers. I'm 6ft but have ape like long arms.
It's the perfect height for me and the batwing keeps most of the wind off but still in the breeze and can get zapped with bugs or rocks...
I have extended arm mirrors, as with the stock bars I did not feel like I could adjust them to see what is behind me...only the sides.
I live in my mirrors and need them functional more than looks.

Like I said in my previous post, I have the LA Choppers 12" Twin Peaks bars, I'm 6'2", I needed the flatter bar (less pullback) for my wrists and the taller bar for my back.
I have the longer stem mirrors to see around my shoulders.

I'm 5'9", lowered 1" in back plus a lower seat. I went with 10" twin peaks and they are perfect. Arms straight out.if I wasn't lowered I'd probably go 12.

12 Inch Yaffe Monkey Bars. The are just above the fairing. I have run 10 inch Monkey bars and also Wild One WO578’s and they are just even with the top of the fairing.

No problems with clutch or brake lines. I did use wire extensions which are low cost and just make it simple and easy.

12..5 inch Wild One Chubby's were great for me. I'm 5'10" and have a 33" sleeve length.
