Yeah, nuts/bolts probably help from someone stealing the bags, but has anyone really taken a good look at the actual lid latches on the inboard side of the lids? You know, the flimsy little metal 'hooks' that slip under the metal clips? They appear to be attached to the saddlebag lids with two-sided foam tape. I'm guessing maybe 5-seconds with a razor knife and the bag is open. To me, that's the weakest link. As long as they are designed that way anyone can easily open the bags and take the contents. I'm actually shocked that the latches aren't at least riveted to the lids.

I rarely lock mine, but from what I'm reading, it don't matter much. I guess nothing's changed,....when a scumbag thief wants something bad enough, he'll get it......nothing worse than a thief , IMO,...oughta string 'em up........[:@]

It kills me. I ride a SE Ultra. It would be a ...........to match the paint, and I have power locks, I am sure they would cut the wire. It would cost me big, and never be right. Something else to worry about.

I sh*t-canned the dzus fasteners and replaced ‘em with “C” nuts and bolts. Keep the bags locked and the 9mm cocked – no problem [X(]

Oh fine! Now everyone on the "net" will know how to rip-off bags!
