Oil Change -- where's the plug/bolt to drain?

RE: Oil Change -- where's the plug/bolt to drain?
yes you are right..there are two plugs on the front of the oil pan...either will drain the oil...the one close to the jiffystand is most commonly used as the other is a pipe plug and used for puttin a temp sender in....you aint gotta buy no manual to take it out...you'll find the tranny drain on the opposite side just in front of the lower crossmember...both require a 5/8" socket...both drain easy once the dipstick is pulled

Speaking of oil changes......[sm=confused06.gif]
Is anyone using that total purge system that I've seen commented on in these forums?
Sorry, I don't know the name of it, but did watch a short video of it in action.
Did I understand the video correctly? Your essentially running your bike completely dry, even if fora few milliseconds?
Scares the h*ll out of me just thinking about it.
What methods do you use to purge all the old oil, or don't you normally worry about it?

[sm=icon_rtfm.gif] Sorry I always wanted to use that smilie. Seriously you may want to pick up a service manual before doing anything. Best $50 you can spend.
