I went from a street bob to a street glide, there was a WORLD of difference. Don't get me wrong, I loved the dyna with the 16 inch apes and the 30 inch sissy bar with the eight ball up top, but, you can't go wrong with that smooth SG.

Im thinking about buying a 2008 Street Glide. I want to know if this is a good comfortable ride on the freeway. Ive had my fatboy for 4 years and i lowered it 3" and have apes on it. I just want a cool looking COMFORTABE RIDE. is this a good bike for me?
I have rode both bikes, butI own a rk custom. My bike and the SG have the same lowered shocks, and it is still very comfortable. However, if you really love your apes, like I do mine, that might be the only sacrifice I see you making. I could not ride without apes, after having them. I have, however, seen some really nice mini apes with the batwing. Just something to think about. I am sure you will love the SG.

I have on 08 SG and commute 80miles a day on it and the ride is great. personally I feel really comfortable on this bike ive owned my share of bikes and just came off a bmw and this is a world of difference just more stable in my opinion. comfort zone is there and no issues with getting thrown around by wind on this bike never felt comfortable passing big rigs on a windy day until I picke this bike up. well this is my experience with the bike hope this helps. like someone before said you might want a taller windshield as well but after coming of a fatboy you should be used to the wind.

Been riding an 08 SG for about 2 months now. Just broke 1k. I love it... although it does get a little shaky at high speeds (85mph +)

I have NO REGRETS!!!

I made the exact upgrade in November.....05 Fat Boy for 08 SG.....I sure as hell am not looking back even though I loved the FB! They are both great bikes. But the SG is a much better bike on the long hauls and does all things well in my opinion.

Bought mine two weeks ago. 1,700 miles so far, can't get enough. Added some SE slip-ons and a seat with a little more cushon for the old lady.
