Default 08 SG cruise control kit install ?

Has anyone installed a cruise control on there street glide? Is it as simple as just changing the right control and plug it in?

A little more complicated than that, but not too bad if you follow the instructions.

Simple install BUT it must be "flashed" by the dealer. I hear it costs somewhere around $18.00 for the "flash", right Karl......

08 is fly-by-wire different then 07's and b-4 , I would get a owners manual.

Yes. The right control switch housingis replaced. The throttle actuator isattached tothe throttle body.
No need for the old style servo unit to be installed as part of the kit. Just the switch housing. As far as initializations goes. I`m not sure if it needs to be activated in the ECM of if it will function automatically. Either way it`s a fairly easy installation.

The book states it`s available Sept. 2007 $$239.00 bucks. per the book.

The 08`s don`t use the servo because the fly-by-wire system has a throttle actuator attached to the throttle body. The ECM already controls the throttle so there's no need for the servo. It makes it simple and cheaper too.
