Smoked Down Kitty on Street Glide @ Night

RE: Smoked Down Kitty on Street Glide @ Night
In college (considerably younger and dumber) riding my friends triumph at about 70 without a shirt on I was struck in the left shoulder by a June Bug (hard shelled beetle like bug). It penetrated my shoulder by 1/2 inch. I thought I had been shot. Pulled my left arm off the bars but i stayed on the bike. By the time I looked down I was covered in blood. Hospital treated it like a gun shot wound until I heard the doctor laugh and pull out a piece of a bug. Many pieces of bug later I was on the road again. Never ride any more without proper protective gear.
Wish I'd killed a cat.

Riding behind a friend on a country road 1000 miles from nowhere! His pipes spooked some cows, yes cows! They took off in a run, yes run! Straight across the road in front of the wife and I on the Springer.....Hit the brakes, sidways (lucky the wife is only 100lbs) just missing the only cow I have ever seen run (I know, city boy!), we now fly the middle finger to any and all cows we see!

Living on the mountain squirrels are among the dumbest beasts I've ever seen. I take out at least 5 every year. If you hit them while cornering, you get a wiggle. As for bugs, I have no idea what kinda bug it was, but it managed to go in between my sunglasses and full face helmet with the visor up and proceed to bite the crap out of my ear. At 60 try to pull over and get the helmet off while being bit ant the same time. My ear bleed for 15 minutes after tearing the bug to shreeds getting it off and out of my ear.
