I have the titan from biketronics. I like it. I have my own speakers as well.

Biketronis, hawg wired, and hog tunes each offer small T class ampifiers that will mount on head units, but dependign on what you're looking for in sound, may or may not fit the bill for you. Some here have put full blown car stereos into their baggers, and I am in the middle on my own install right now, but it's involved to do it right. In the end, I know i'll have the sound and volume i'm after. Here's a link to eglidegoodies that that sell the biketonics Titan amplifier.

On my 01 RG I installed a 40watt x 4 amp in the fairing. Sounded great until last July. I guess the 110 degree summer heat wasnt to good for the amp. It smoked. No air circulation to keep it cool. Im sure there are probably amps out there that run cooler but that is something watch out for.

Greg and I are on the same page with Hogtunes. Pez is a stand-up guy with a good product. Not the highest output or the most expensive (hawg-wired is very), Straight forward install and solid performance for a good price.

Check out the site:

if you are going to put 6x9sin the bags why not put an amp in there also -- if you do your choices multiply and your price decreases substantially ---you are going need some clean power to push the 6x9s and hear them ---I don't think hog tunes amp has enough watts --- the hawg wired will get the job done

I have the Hogtunes amp mounted on top of the HK radio - fits fine under the fairing and adds a good amount of bass to the system. I'm also using the Hogtunes speakers. My SG is a 2006, but I don't think much has changed under the fairing of the 08's.

LOL I got that same Mitzu mini-amp from Ebay, hoping to power a pair of polk, marinecert. speakers to put in my lower fairings, to use with an i-pod. Haven't tackled the project yet,are they that shitty that it won't work?
