Default 08 through Military sales

Anyone buy an 08 Ultra through military sales? I am trying to see if I'm getting a deal or not.

Had a friend purchase an 07 Sporty thru them and he saved quite a bit. They say they will beat any valid price quote that you can get from a HD dealer.

Bought my 07 thru Overseas Military Sales. Saved almost $4k from what the local dealer would have charged me.

All Military sales bieks are sold at MSRP. IF they beat a dealer price is because of dealer mark up. They don't deal. You save tax and set up fees, so you can save there. Also no destination fees.

MSRP on a 2008 Ultra is $20,695 for a black one. It's easy to buy one for that price with out set-up and transportation added. So if you can get it for less than MSRP then you are doing fine.

Things must have changed since 03. I got mine at 20% under MSRP, that was the agreement with AAFES at that time. Didn't realize they weren't doing that anymore.....I would ask the sales rep there what the deal is.

I bought mine through Military Car Sales and paid 18,985 with ABS while I was deployed, work the sales rep a little harder and make him pay your down payment ($300). They have extra incentives out there they can use if they want to. Check with your state where you will register the bike, Florida passed a newlaw for Soldiers recently and if you are stationed outside the state they will waive the Tax, Title , and License fees. I wouldn't bank on any dealer in the states giving you the bike for the same price asCar Sales will (18,985). Harley Sales will have to fall off the map to have them do that.

Don't buy the Extended Warranty, you can buy it up to the last day of the two year factory warranty before it expires. Also don't buy any extras or add-on unless its ABS or a different color. Werever you take delivery call the dealer and they'll work with you or better yet buy it at a discount dealer online and install it your self.

Well so far I'm at $20,298.00 for Vivid Black with ABS and security. Where did you get yours for 18,985? I'll have to pay 6% sales tax in Michigan and title which I feel should be waived since it has to be paid for before I leave this country.

No sure where you are getting your info but to put it bluntly you are wrong !!! Military sales prices on bikes are not at MSRP, they are lower and on their quote sheets is the language "If you get a better price we will beat it".

Just had a friend stationed in Iraq who wanted a bike, got original price from Military sales, called me and I found exact bike at dealer in Tennessee at a lower price, had them fax me a sales order for bike, I forwarded it to him in Iraq and Military sales beat their price.
