hard bag soft bag rich man poor man Part #'s and pics?
Dreaming about my bike! What would it take for me to get hard bags to match the color CrimsonRed Suglo & Candy Red Sunglo-- probably choose the Crimson Red?
Any way if I would like to have hard bags (saddlebags only for now) where to get them, best prices? Do they fit directly on the classic? Do I have to remove the Nostalgic Bars that protect my leather bags? Are the bags from the custom simply interchangeable with the classic? I'd like the hard bags to lock... they won't go on unless I'm doing a overnighter or going into a city...
What do you think? I can't find them on MOCO site, but I seem to remember them in the big book which I do not have right now.
Thanks!
J

All of the EG, RK, and RG models use the same saddelbag mounting hardware, so you can mount hard or soft bags on them--a slightadjustment of the top brackets may be required but that is simple requiring a 7/16" wrench on the bolts to loosen, adjust and retighten.
Ebay and trike conversion shops are good sources for what you want. You could also order them from HD; they won't be in the P&A catalog, but HD does have a Paint catalog that lists painted parts for the bikes, including hard bags, with a paint code for the various colors offered each year.
As for the nostalgic saddlebag guards/rails, check HD's website; it will provide fitment information.
