I had mine off, liked the looks and then put them back on. Lucky for me because a women in a Jeep turned into me in Colorado. Without the crash bar I probably would of lost my leg or had major problems.

I took mine off for a couple of months but decided to put it back on for safety reason but instead of putting the stocker back on I put on of Harley's Mustache bars.
I think it looks much better the the original.

Looks great without, but I know as soon as I take it off I'll drop it in the parking lot, at my dealer, with my buds standing around, laughing at me, etc. Besides, i need somewhere to bolt highway pegs. and i do like soft lowers in the winter 'cause i'm a wuss.

I think it looks great without bars. Might have to give that a try. I just won't drop it!

I love the look without it!!!! but I never took mine off, I asked the same question about six months ago!!!!!

Exactly! crash bars are for wimps! Engine guards on the other hand are a sound investment!

I too tookfront and rearoff for awhile . Looked cool !!! Until after a 300 mile ride the bike went over in hotel paking lot.Not much damage to the bike. My leg saved it. ButIt still looked cool !! and that bad burn I got on my leg healed too !!Made for a long ride home. Anyway crash bar are back on and still not a bad looking bike ( juct a little less cool looking ?)

I have a suggestion....don't tip over

If you plan your life and decisions your going to make on what MIGHT happen its going to be a booooring *** life.....jus sayin
