1000 rpms here also a friend of mines 02 idles at around 600 and that seems way to low

Mines around 1200 when cold, between 900 - 1000 when warm. I was told much under 1,000 is too low to keep oil circulating and cooling on the newer TC engines....my 02 Dyna (carbed) was the same way....over 1,000 for warm up, then at or just below 1,000.

About 1000 rpms here also when warm bit higher when cold.
