I had them on my 07 RKC. worked well for 11 yr old and 9 yr old. PM me if interested in purchasing them.

I have them on my Road King... check my gallery.
As you stated in your original post, many people advise against taking the guards off completely. I am a member of that camp.
If you don't have any takers on the nostalgic rails you are removing...shoot me a PM - I may be interested. I think they may look good on my bike.

I have the comfort ones and they work great, my wife stands a 5 feet and they do not rub her legs at all now. They also held up last year when I dropped her (the bike, not the wife)

I took mine off all together as you can see by my pic. I like the clean look BUT you don't have any protection if you get a little tipsy if you know what I mean. That being said I'm a gambler !!!
