Ya don't buy the Road Glide, that Candy Sunglow Red is an ugly color
I agree, based on experience.

I've had everything from a crotch rocket to a valkyrie interstate to a BMW K1200LT. I love my Ultra! This bikehandles way better than I ever dreamed. Yes the boards do hit early but you can adjust them up.

I came from a FXD to a EGC. It does take a little getting used to but in a very short time you will never look back. I had 4 different seats for my FXD and I am here to tell you, you will never, ever get that FXD to be as comfortable as a Bagger.
I have never had any handling problems with my bike.

First HD was an FXR which I wish I still had. Handled great.
Next was a Heritage which handled awful.
Now on an Ultra. It will run circles around the softail.

No matter what the FL's are never going to handle like a sport bike, but they do handle very well for their size, weight, and frame geometry. I bought my first bagger last October, and will be keeping at least one in my stable from here on out. My softail is fine for longer rides, but even with a good after market seat I find myself looking for another place to sit after only about 2 hours. With my Street Glide there are no such issues......plus I get to listen to tunes, and have a place to put my jacket!
