Default Where to mount your zumo 450/550 on an 08 flhtcu

Well first time poster and long time listener !

I saw this mount on another website....... Has anyone else tried this and perhaps some other opinion about why \ why not to do this ?

That's kinda what I have been thinking about - nice to see someone did it first. Although I would drop the unit down a lot further. That one seems like it's way too high and would block your view of the road. Also I would leave as much of the center pouch in place as possible so the back part of it would cover the gps mount from being as visible from the front. Hiding the mount and getting the gps lower and out of the way and that looks like a nice set up.

Looks good, don't know if I would want to drill into the inner fairing. If you sell the bike and want to take the GPS with you, it will never look the same.

I put mine on the vright handle bar and have been happy so far.

Good point, however you could probably plug the holes easily and a new 3 pouch unit would cover it all up too.
