RE: DYNO Numbers for Baggers???
I agree that this type of psot will bring some issues to discuss. As a certified Dynojet tuning technician i can see that no one has exagerated the numbers they have posted based on the builds they have. If you truly understand the numerous conditions that affect the final numbers from the run it is not always about horse power and torque. I have seen many bikes that can get some good numbers for H.P. and Torque, but the bottom line is how good the bike runs for that particular owner. If the tuning meets their expectations and they can feel a difference and know they have spent their money on a good result that makes their riding a better experience. One more, What do most of the forum members consider "Big Inch" motors? 95-95 in. or over 100in?
I ask because I see a lot of 95 inch builds that are getting a lot more than a 103 build, so i guess big is not always better!
looking foreword to learning and contributing!

RE: DYNO Numbers for Baggers???
The tuner had my 2000 95 cc RG 510 cams and gear set ,Thunder headers, Sert for full day dialing her in In happy with how smooth it,s running. He had it but started over when he decided to bend some tabes for back pressure in the Thunderheaders . I gained 6 hp on the 510 0ver the 203 and pc 111.I have to say the SERT is far better tune for my bike.

RE: DYNO Numbers for Baggers???
I have a RKC-2007. I put on New out of the box, off road SE-2005 slip-ons. SERT, Stage I . Then had it mapped.
I came up with Max power=72.7 and Max Torque=85.2
Here's a question for all u wrenches because HD will not say..or should I say I called 6 and got six different answers.
If I put on a hyper pro-R charger will I have to remap?
Would a person be wasting their $ on SE triple Platinum plugs with SE plug wires? (this is one I think I would lose on?)
The Hyper is for my taste(looks) but remaping is $. Would I run leaner with it even though I have already the stage I? (or can I get by)
Give me some input here please..

RE: DYNO Numbers for Baggers???
I'm curious - how obvious is pinging on a bike? Is it hard to miss? Does it occurr at any particular rev level or under a load only, etc? I know in cars I've heard it, is it the same?
I've never noticedpinging on my bike but it's set up with 10.25:1, a cam, K&N and faily open exhaust(my Dad had it before me and set it up this way).I do use Premium fuel and it does have compression relief buttons on it, so I use those religiously when starting it. It runs great and gives me 39 mpg if i'm easy on it.
My question is would I notice this pinging pretty easily if I had it? Is 10.25:1 in the category of motors that will have this problem?
Thanks!

RE: DYNO Numbers for Baggers???
It's usually at a lower RPM while rolling on the throttle. You should definitelybe able to hereif yourengine is detonating (pinging). Compression shouldn't mater as long as it's built right and tuned correctly. Try lugging the engine in a higher gear at low speed and roll on the throttle. If it was going to ping that's were you should here it.

RE: DYNO Numbers for Baggers???
I need to scan my dyno sheet. I have an 05 ultra with the following mods:
95CI
SE forged pistons
SE ported heads
SE intake
V&H true duals
Kerker slip ons (has V&H ovals, picked up 5 hp with the kerkers)
SE 251 cam
SE stage 1 air filter
And the numbers are...... drum roll please... 99.40 torque, 96.08 HP.
