ORIGINAL: gman

did you check the manual closely for the amount of fluid.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I had always added a quart, 32 oz.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; However, upon closer examination the owners manual on my '07 UC listed, if memory serves me right, 38 oz. thus, last time I had to open up another jug for the ramaining 6 oz.
they changed the capacities for the 07 and newer model years.&nbsp\\; so previously, 32 oz was good, now takes 38 oz (wet)

If you drain it with the bike straight up not on the stand how much do you put in. I just changed mine with the bike straight up and put in 38oz like the book said. Is that ok??

ok I got out the big book and found for the 07 replace fluid with 38oz and 45oz if it had been rebuilt or removed.

Replace all three hole on mine about 5 five mile ago.&nbsp\\; The was on jack hence level, the primary for 07 RKC is 38oz. and was filled through the cover.&nbsp\\; You can't overfill if you pour in the suggested amount and from the look of the drawing of this modol it hold a lot of oil before you overfill it.&nbsp\\; the 45oz. is for completely dry unit after an overhaul as mentioned.&nbsp\\; By the way if you do drain it with&nbsp\\;the bike on the stand and then fill it back on the stand you will lose some oil before you even get the full 38oz.

A trick someone told me that works well to hold the bike nearly straight up is to place a small piece of 2x4 flat under the kick stand.

The manual doesn't say if the oil level is checked on the jiffy stand or straight up,
Yes, it does.

Drain my 06 on the jiffy stand, then place a 2x4 under the jiffy stand and
dump 32 oz. into the chain inpection cover. Couldn't be easier. Tried the
clutch inspection cover one time, what a PITA. Never again.

07 and up don't have an inspection cover... we have to go though the derby cover.

Primary and tranny are checked straight up and the oil is on the jiffy.Go to panther lift .com and look at getting a front wheel chock to hold bike staight up.
