You can mount the adjuster handle in your Kuryakyn shield. It works great!

I am also getting ready to get one
local dealer is having 25% sale and I have a $50 GC
So my price should be around $200, lokking forward to it
I&nbsp\\;also have the Kuryakyn heat deflectors
&nbsp\\;
My question is\\; does the fender or where ever the bracket mounts already pre drilled and ready to go?

The adjusting&nbsp\\;bracket mounts to the frame at the crossmember under the seat on the left side.&nbsp\\; The holes are already there.&nbsp\\; The parts that are supplied with the backrest should include expanding nuts that are placed in the holes in the crossmember. A small bolt is used to expand the nuts, then removed.&nbsp\\; The bracket is then mounted&nbsp\\;to the crossmember/frame utilizing the expanded nuts.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;A cable runs from the bracket, through a&nbsp\\;another hole in the crossmember to the rear fender where the backrest is mounted, and attaches to the backrest mounting bracket.
&nbsp\\;
I did not take pictures, but I believe if you do&nbsp\\;search there are some available.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;The instructions are not&nbsp\\;very clear, and I used advice from others here&nbsp\\;at HDF when I installed mine.&nbsp\\; It took about an hour, but I was in no hurry.&nbsp\\;

I understand about the lever but are the holes already in the rear fender for the bracket to screw into?

I am really glad that I bought the adjustable backrest. Every once in a while I do change the angle, just for something different. RJ's Originals give easy access while riding down the highway (those things are great, BTW).

Any one have a close up picture of the RJ Heat Shield and the backrest release bracket mounted together?

Did not see an adjustable rider backrest for an 08 SG on the HD site
Is there one available from HD?

I KNOW THEY MAKE THE ADJUSTABLE FOR 06 SG - NOT SURE IF THEY ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE NEW O8 SG SEAT?

If you can do a search on here someone posted some pics of the release lever installed in one of the side covers and it looked like it came from the factory. I intend to try it.
