My wife and I are riding over on Fri... hope we can find a room....

 

Since the weather is looking pretty good, I'm coming, first time I've been, looks like a decent rally, and my wife loves anything and everying about NV. Hopefully there will be some good bands, and theres gotta be some good poker rides in that part of the country.

 

The wife and I are going. We live on the other side of the mountain range from reno 45 minutes from lake Tahoe. To all that are going:: go to www.road-shows.com to see the schedule of events and bands. They are expecting the same numbers as last year at 50,000 bikes. If you dont already have a room you might not find one now. usually need to reserve rooms 3 months ahead of time. If you go, make sure and ride over to Virginia city and go to the bucket of blood saloon. This rally is so big its actually being held at Reno and Carson city.

 

I am going up on Thursday. Going to go the 88 route to 395. Will be staying in Carson. Local Indy here just told me that the Pres of the SF chapter of HA was killed this last week by a rival club and there could be trouble brewin. Anyone else hear about this?

And yes...I was away for the week and did not have access to the news.

 

Highly unlikely. This is primarily an HA town and there is a consortium that seems to handle most issues.
Don't worry about it and go on the Cat House Poker Run. It's a gas.

 

Its not the other OMG's you should be concerned with, instead its the cop clubs because of the incident in Sturgis this year between the HA and the cop club. I would think the cops clubs that like to wear a 3 peice patch would be freakin crazy to go to reno this year. I just dont understand what the hell those cop clubs are thinking. Flying colors like that is the same as putting a red bandana on your head and walking around thru blue crip town in east L.A. Those cop clubs are just asking for trouble and because they are armed it makes it worse for the general public.

 

Living in Reno, or rather a bit outside, I will be at the event!! As far as a problem with HA, well it won't be. The organization works very well with Reno PD and they are aware of possibilities. They will not put up with anything from the HA group.
