Default "Best of Sirius" on Harley XM Radio?

Was wondering if anyone with the HD XM Radio has subscribed to the "Best of Sirius" package and whether this radio works OK with it. Thinking of buying one, and being able to get Howard Stern on it would just make the commute on the bike that much better...

Thanks.

I was going to answer your post until I read the part about how you were going to listen to Howard Stern. Surely you can't be serious?

The man is a total boob and a moron....and now because of Siruis he is a wealthy boob and a moron.

Sirius has better music and talk channels than XM. Since the companies have merged it is only a matter of time before there is a HD radio compatible with Sirius.

I have no opinion on radios but I must say I hate Sirius!!!! I have XM now and love it but maybe thats cause I'm use to it. I have sampled Sirius and I can honestly make an opinion that I'd take Xm over Sirius any day. Thats me though.

I'd be happy with just having a radio on my bike.

I've got the all Sirius package, and I love it. Sports, comedy, Country, jazz, and the oldies...all commercial free. Just works for me. Not sure if it's any better than XM, but it really works good in the mountain passes, canyons, and remote areas.

my guess is that the package is broadcast on one of the xm channels and not a channel specific to a sirius reciever.

yes. the best of sirius is broadcast on some of the XM channels.
Sirius also has best of XM (you can check either package at the appropriate website)

there are new addon radios that allow you to pick and choose which stations from which service you want..

HD has a contract with XM, but hopefully, since the HD radio is software programmable, it's only a matter of time before the software upgrade will allow you to pick and choose which stations from which service you can receive (a la carte programming).. but hasn't happened yet.

I've got both.. bike has the XM built in.. car (her's) has the sirius built in.. so I bought an add on XM for the car, and an add on Sirius for the bike.. keeps her quiet.. now, if I could just get the radio to play sirius in her headset, and something else in mine...................................
