What's up with the HD Battery? Everyone seems to highly recommend them but surely HD does not manufacture Batteries right? Someone is making and private labeling for HD right?

Take a look a Odyssey Batteries. They're pritty serious in the battery department.
The Odyssey PC925LMJ battery would probably be my first choice. I have a small Odessey that I've had for seven years, which was installed on my old RK at one time, and it is still working fine and holding a charge. You can buy these on Ebay for $165 shipped, which is near-equal to the HD battery at MSRP + tax.
The HD battery is very good, and it would be a close second choice for me. Neither Zanotti's nor Chicago HD lists the #66010-97B AGM battery as being available, so I suspect there are shipping restrictions on them. My local dealer said it was shipping that caused the battery prices to skyrocket to where they are now, as only a couple of years ago the HD batteries were only about $90. OTOH the Odyssey batteries are available on Ebay, so they can obviously be shipped in a conventional manner.
