Yes andif you hang around the screaming eagles forum very much, you would see them complain about burning oil. I think it's the Red Oil that says wait until the engine has 3000 miles before using their sun oil. It certanly doesn't hurt to wait.
Maybe I'm old school, but I like to break in with the dino oil, then run nothing but synthetic. I'd go at least a 1000. I didn't switch mine over until 2000. The choice is yours.
