BJ's air horns have a good rep for quality & they back up their product. Installation isn't bad.

Not sure I like the compressor hanging out there for all to see behind the horn, ya' think they would have hidden it somewhere???

I'm very happy with my mini-beast horn. It is loud and easy to install. The directions are great. The best price I found is at: Pro Pad

That's one advantage of the Howard's Horns -- the compressor is hidden behind the stock "cowbell". It just comes down to preference. I'm not aware of the sound level for the HD horn, but Howard's is 130 dB. Price-wise, it's a wash.

Thought I saw somewhere (might have been on another forum) that someone makes a small airhorn that will fit under the side covers. Totally hidden.

It's really fun to lure some unsuspecting victim in close and give it a nice long toot!!

I kind'a like the looks of the HD air horn. It looks like a HORN, and not like a COWBELL.

You maybe thinking of Nautilus by Stebel, who are reportedly the same manufacture as the H-D air horn.

Here is what mine looks like. It's installed where the cowbell and stock horn were. It uses the existing horn circuit. The fuse, relay and compressor are in the teardrop toolbox just below the seat.
