I put a Z rated Michelin run flat on my 2010

ultra. I believe the sweet spot PSI was 28.
Always rode 2 up, wife even commented on the smoother ride.

I don't think it made it go faster, tho!
Had better traction in the rain along with stopping contact with pavement to tire ratio.

There are a lot of people who say the car tire does not corner well because it is not as round as a MC tire, it will not fit the rim, etc, etc, etc. None of those people have a clue. The facts are the CT feels different, no doubt about that, but it does not feel bad and you get used to it very quickly and it becomes normal to you. The CT performance is far superior to any MC tire and they or at least the one I have fit the rim very tight, like it was molded to it. People who say don't do it no doubt have not tried it. Motorcycle companies want you to buy their tires, I don't know all the reasons people say don't do it. Everyone I know that has tried it and I do mean everyone, will never go back to a MC tire. The advantages to a CT are many and after years of people doing it there is no reason not to, no matter what the nay sayers have to say about it. Check it out for yourself, make your own decision.
you're wrong. There are videos showing what the tire does. Not a good thing.

Since this thread isn’t in the “dark side” sub forum, we can bash the concept. I’d I was going to do a cross country abd back trip, all on interstates, I’d consider the dark side. But, I’d never consider it for doing twisties. Oh yeah. I recently took a motorcycle safety course conducted by a police motor division. The question about the dark side was asked. They said they don’t allow people with a car tire to take the class. It’s simple..motorcyclescturn by leaning, on a lower circumstance part of the tire. My life is too important to save a few $…not gonna happen.

Like I said earlier, I ride 2up and have been on some of the best riding roads in the lower 48. I've scraped my floorboards on most of them all while having a CT on the rear.
To each their own.
I wear a helmet and shorts while I do ride too 😂😂😂

This means nothing and I am not going to get into a debate, because there is nothing to debate that makes this right. It’s actually quite dangerous and stupid. lol

Good luck!

I finally have room for a car tire for my 1999 Ultra I hope. I have a spare 09 up wheel that I am going to get a CT & try it. I modified a 09 up rear swing arm & rear fender to fit my bike & is working well. As my tire starts to wear I will start getting a CT for it & try it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
