How do you find out when a bike was built?

Check the VIN sticker on the frame, located on the top left hand portion of the frame (underneath the batwing) hiding beneath the wiring harness. If you look on the sticker, top right hand corner the build date is there.

My dealer told me it would activate automatically; I cooked last Saturday and wondered what I was doing wrong. After getting home I read the manual and saw what I needed to do. Today will be the first ride in a week and its pretty darn cold here, so the heat will come in handy. I'm going to FL next week and will try it down there. It's definately a feature I'm looking forward to having this summer.

With all the extra new 08 Ultra's my local dealer still has on his lot, U would think telling potential bike buyers, and maybe future hogs instead of metrics riders about this engine management system would be a selling point. I was never told about this, and from what I'm reading in this thread, many of you were not too. Makes you wonder about the disconnect between corporate and the dealers.

I was disappointed to learn that the SERT overrides the on - off feature. The Pro Tuner allows it but not the SERT. It has to be turned off and on by the dealer using the Digital Tech.

I have a SERT and mine works as described on here and in the owners manual.
