Default Touring Shocks and Oil Leak

Need some quick advice. I am picking up a set of used StreetGlide shocks and having them shipped to me. Any issues or advice on the oil leaking out? I have heard the oil can leak out if not kept upright and that it is a b@tch to fill.

Any advice appreciated

Tell them to insert the threaded plug that is supposed to be used when shipping them

if they fail to plug the hole where the lines attach, just get a 1/8" pipe thread hose barb fitting, screw it in the hole, attach something similar to a "Mighty Vac" hand operated brake bleeder type system with 10w oil in it, and refill until it will take no more (about 11-12 oz if it 's emtpy) I did this to mine after pumping out the old oil and adding the 10w. Numerous ways to get the old oil out, just do a search on this forum, it's been covered several times, even with pictures...PACO
