Mine don't go into the dealer unless its warrenty work, or I am out of town and have to fix it to get home...Everything else I do myself.

$2.99 for a quart of oil X 4 and add in about $8 for a filter and it's a done deal. Not a chance I'd take it in to the dealer for that. Some of you guys aren't really paying $12 for a quart of oil are you???

Don't waste $$ on Syn-3, it's not 100% Syn! Besides, it's Commie Hugo Chavez Oil! F*&%^$ Citgo! Mobil 1 V-Twin! I hope these stealers get an attitude adjustment with this economy.

Hav'nt changed your own oil in awhile ? Even at Walmart dino oil is $3.80 a quart , even at cheapo auto parts stores all brands start at $3.99 qt.

Been pricing filters online lately and can't seem to beat the HD price by more than a buck , where you getting your filters ? Looking for the K&Ns with the nut on the end .

Thanks , Dan

I have had my bike seven years and it has NEVER been in the dealer's shop. That includes upgrade to 95 inch, gear drive cams, Roadie fairing, cruise. Learn to do it yourself, and you know its done right.

One of my former riding buddies used to get his bike serviced at the dealer ,and I swear every time we went for a ride something would fall off his bike. I refused to ride behind him for fear of getting hit.

Many dealers have a list posted with prices for regular service. $125 for a 3 hole oil change sounds on the low side.

I just made an appointment to drop my SG off for the 1000 mile service and they said it would cost $304.95... Does that make any sense to you guys?
