Harley Interest Rates
#21
I just did 24 months at 11000.00 on a new SERG. The first rate they gave me was 10%. I told him no way. He told the guy on the phone he had to do better than that. He came back with 7.49%. That was a tier 2 rate. My credit union would only do 8.99%. Somebody told me the other day that their credit union was doing 4.5% on cars, bikes, and boats. Check around and know what the best rate is. T.

Hey fellas. I just got the call that my bike is done, and ready for pickup at the dealer. I am out of state for a few weeks, and plan to pick it up in June. Here's my question......what kind of interest rates have you been getting from Harley on a new bike.
I will be financing about 12,000 on a 27,000 bike. I'm not asking for anyone to post details they aren't comfortable giving. I am just looking for a ballpark interest rate, kind of a "what to expect" deal.
Thanks,
Scott

When I bought my bike back in march the dealer Had HD credit for like 9%. I told him I could get 4.4% at my wifes CU......He said I can't get those kind of rates....You can guess who I financed though........I applied at the CU and had a check the next day. <G>

I used HD financing back in April. The rate I got was 6.49%. I finaced $12,000 for 5 years. I was going to go 36 months but the rate didn't go up on 60 months. I now may double payments but if times get bad I can go back to single payments. Also another poster stated that dealer can charge is correct. My dealer said he could add 3% but wasn't in the banking business.

Scott, I don't want to get nosey or sompthin', but a $27000 bike? Hope it's a trike. Otherwise, your first issue is the dealer ripping your head off on the price of the bike. Find another dealer and get a better deal on a bike, take your $15000 down and search for a credit union and low financing.
HEHEHE. Thanks for the concern. I got a much better deal on the bike, but spent ALOT on upgrades (performance and cosmetics). Definitely going with the credit union, though.
