Default Took the Experience Rider safety course yesterday

I took the Experienced Rider safety course yesterday and it was awesome. It's free here in PA but it was good enough that I think it's worth paying for. I've had my Road King for a little over a month now and really hadn't come anywhere close to pushing the limits. After about 30 minutes I was dragging the floor boards and riding the RK like it was a sport bike (ok, slight exaggeration).

I was surprised to see that of the 11 riders7 of us were riding Harleys. There was only 1 crotch rocket. It seemed that the guys on the Touring bikes rode the course better than those with smaller bikes. That's said, the guy with a BMW R1200RT was unreal. That bike has everything but a microwave.

I just wanted to say that the riding course was great and probably a great idea for everyone to do every few years. You can't beat it here in Pennsylvania since it's free to all residents.

I do the ERC usually every summer, every other at the most just as a refresher. Costs about $25 here if i remember correctly, and then if you submit it to HOG (assuming you are a HOG member) they reimburse you with a gift card to your dealer.

Took the course last year on my Road Glide. I was the only Harley at that session.

I highly recommend the course to all. I would get a little used to riding a big bike before signing up as it is intense.
