I use a professional detailer that comes out once a month, but in between i use this stuff called the "THE PROTECTOR". This stuff really brings your paint and chrome to a shine.

After not being completely satisfied with the Dr. Mechanico I purchased, I noticed this in another thread:

http://www.simplegreen.com/products_extreme_motor.php

Extreme Simple Green® Motorsports is a cleaning and degreasing product that is extremely aggressive on grease and heavy soils, but won’t harm the high end surfaces found on motorsports equipment. This product is effective for use on motorcycles, ATVs, sports cars, RVs, watercraft, bicycles, aftermarket parts & equipment and more! Extreme Simple Green Motorsports meets compliance standards for Boeing spec D6-1748P. Originally developed for the aircraft industry and geared toward safely cleaning high end aircraft exterior and engine surfaces, this product is an ideal choice for all of your motorsports cleaning and degreasing needs.

IMO, a great product that works as advertised!

Ok what I am seeing is "won't harm painted surface". My whole point of this thread was looking for something that I could spray on and rinse off. Maybe a 15 minute job at best. If I wanted to reapply polish or scrub I would just go ahead and do a normal wash. I do a full detail with Zaino once a year and usually apply an additional coat of Zaino to the fairing every two months. This is only for times when I get caught in the rain and just want to get the light road grime film and splatter off.

This may have been already stated but have you tried the Windex powerized product? Its the one that you hook up to your hose to wash the outside windows with. I used it a lot on my Night Train and it always worked really well. No spots or streaks.

I've had good luck with Motul Motowash. Spray on and let set a few minutes, then hose off.

For daily cleaning, I've been happy with Harley Gloss. Works fine on chrome, aluminum and paint. Spray and wipe... then ride!

If you want to spray on,wipe off, get Captain Richard's Best. It used to be called The Bom. You spray it on the cloth it comes with, wipe the dirty area then wipe off with the micro fiber cloth it comes with. The bike can be rain soaked dirty and it looks brand new. No scratches. I haven't put water on my bike (voluntarily) in a year. I love this stuff.

Boy - three pages and nobody has mentioned Bug Slide. I only wash my bike about twice a summer - otherwise, spray on Bugslide and wipe it off- paint shines, chrome shines. Just spray on, let sit for 30 seconds and wipe off. Bugs come right off, and it polishes at the same time.

GREAT STUFF.
