Thunder Header Slip-on's
Looking at a pair of used THeaders for my '07 EGC. When I did a search on the net, I found many posts about how loud they are.
My questions is how loud are they, or what does to loud mean? Are they average loud for aftermarket slip-on's or on the high end of the range?
Also, many say that if you get THeaders - that you will need to re-map the fuel...etc.? True / False?
If not THeaders, what direction should I go? I live in a nice quiet neighborhood, but need some sound to the bike.

I had them - here's my suggestion. Find someone that has the TH's on their bike and ride behind them for at least 5 miles to get a feel for the sound. The performance and flow is terrific and they do thump.
That being said, I took mine off because they were too loud. I'm having trouble with my ears and was tired of the pounding. My new Supertrapp pipes are easier on the ears and now I can hear my stereo. I didn't lose any Hp but did lose 5 Fp of torque. We could have gotten some of that back but I chose quiet over torque.
