Default Illuminated Fairing Accent Trim?

Anybody own this new accessory <Illuminated Fairing Accent Trim-69290-09>. It's that lighted fairing trim that looks like it screws/bolts on to the front fairing. I'm looking to add something to my front fairing, to dress it up a bit, and this is an item I am considering. I've seen a few at local bike nights and I am warming up to as an alternate to painting the fairing. Any body have one and have thoughts on it, good or bad?

Here is the link to a photobucket video where the guy added the fairing lights to his classic.

I actually looked at this on a bike in Alabama and I thought it looked pretty sharp. I did ask about it and the parts guy said you have to cut some holes in the fairing and that kinda scared me off.

Default Fairing lights

I actually just installed this on my SG and I love the look. You can't really see the LED's during the day but at Dusk\night the front really looks good.

Easy install, although drilling a hole in the fairing was traumatic for me! LOL!

I have 2 LED pods of 3 bulbs on the inside of my handle bars facing the faring and accent rings. They can stay solid from Red, White or Blue. Then to a multitude of combinations of the 3 colors upon my painted faring of Burgundy Wine Red and accent rings. All work upon remote with 15 displays. I have 28 pods on my bike.

Stated my opinion on this accident in several threads. But to each their own.

I'd have to see it on a bike first. It wouldn't look good on mine, as I already have the light bar, and lighted mirrors. Might look good on one that doesn't have any 'front' lights though.

The light bar required drilling a hole, it is a little unnerving ...
