Joshman,

You are very wise to see them on a bike before buying. I found a set of PM wheels I really liked and could get a good deal on them.

Then I saw them on two different bikes and did not like them so much. Found some HogPro wheels I liked, saw them on a bike and still liked them so went that way.

I still like PM wheels but when you are dropping those kind of bucks you want to be sure and get what really floats your boat.

Good luck.

hondo is exactly right, you have to get what you want and what you think will look best on your bike.

Here is a pic of mine with RSD Contrast Cut Judge Wheel:

Here is when I took it to the mountains. Ignore the rack, backrest and sheepskin gel pads.

those wheels all look great, but is there any 'difference' in the ride when the bike is used for touring? im not knocking anyone, but some things are better off for bike nights vs. getting out and putting miles on the bike. im a bit apprehensive on the 21/18 for my current bike (flhx) because i do alot of traveling on it. im not willing to give up the ride for some looks right now.

anyone have a 21/18 set up care to comment?

and again, im not knocking anyone on how / what they do w/their bikes. to each his own...

thanx.
