which is louder...mini beast or harley air horn?

My dealer claims very slow sales on the Harley Horn due to the plastic housing for the compressor. They have also said mini beast will be offered with a cow bell housing to match the stocker horns.

Don't know which way to go, but would be nice to have for Sturgis.

I've installed the Stebel Nautilus Air horn just forward of my fan, its pretty dang loud.

http://www.skene.org/K1200RS/horn/horns.mp3

Above is a link of the horn sound. I think that my Nautilus is louder than the Mini-beast. And its louder in DB according to spec's as well.

http://www.stebel.it/stebel/index.htm

If your browser won't work for the top link, select "products" then "electtropnumatics" then the motorcyle icon, then the "Nautilus Series" button, center bottom you see two speaker icon's, chose the one for your connection speed, that will play the horn.

I've purchased mine from e-bay for just over $32.00 and some change plus shipping (new).

It may not look H-D but it sure sounds good for the price, and anyone will sure hear it before they have to see it! (unless I've drove over them)

OBTW, the black rubber tubing is vacuum line, I've ran it to the compressor air inlet and poked it up under the gas tank to keep things from flying into the compressor! Additionally it functions as a little vibration dampner when the engine is at idle and lobbing. The fan housing does not touch the compressor housing but just in case it did, if the relocation bracket for the cow bell horn came loose at all, I wanted just that extra litttle bit in between the fan and compressor for my peice of mind! (over engineering at its best LOL)

Get A air horn! It's worth it! They cant hear the pipes, see the finger they'll hear the horn! I bought RIVCO horns. They have 128 decibels sound good, look good! Mounted compressor under left side cover and ran hose through hole in frame just in front of battery--cleane install--mounted relay just behind horns---Good luck finding the right part.

Chalk another vote up for the min beast - A breeze to install and loud as hell - The only knock is that it is not a thing of beauty, a little square looking IMHO - but great quality and gets everyone's attention!

Lots of good suggestions here on loud horns. Maybe I'll forget the fairing mounted chain-gun.
