Default Does your rear whitewall get dirtier than the front?

I noticed that my rear whitewall gets much dirtier than the front. Specifically the RIGHT rear whitewall. At a glance, you might think that something is spraying little streaks of oil on the tire. But a close inspection, reveals no leaks or a sign of anything wet. Just a dirty tire.

Curious if others fond their rear whitewall gets pretty dirty.

Well, if I get down flat on the ground to look at it, yes. I don't scamper around quickly enough to check both sides of the tire but the white wall under the saddle bags is dirtier than the front. But I just ride the heck out of it anyway. Life is too short to worry about dumb ****.

The right side is where the brake caliper is, so the brake dust is more prevalent there. Get some Lyndall dustless brake pads and that should help alleviate the problem.

Streaks are brake dust, not oil.......try dustless pads from Lyndall...

I changed to Lyndall at the same time I changed the tires.

Problem solved and better braking too.

Lyndall brakes fix 90% of the problem, but they are not dustless.
