Default Problems After Stage 1 Download

Dealer added SE air cleaner, SE touring mufflers, and then did stage 1 download on my '09 Road Glide. Ran fine at the dealer and on the way home. Next day, bike still runs fine but idles poorly...slows to almost nothing and then catches itself and idles normally. Repeats this sequence every 10 to 15 seconds. I put 900 miles on it before the work and it was flawless.

So, any ideas?

sounds like it may not be getting enough fuel...., you may want to look into a powercommander from fuelmoto instead of the HD downloads

Take it back to the dealer. The download shouldn't make it do that. I would have them flash it again. I have a friend with a 09 and SE A/C and Rush slip ons that runs good.

I was actually thinking about that, and they're only about 2 hours from me to boot.

Did there just do a download or did they dyno tune the bike. Either way the missed something in the tune.

I wish I had a good tuner that close, IMO a download from HD is a big waste of money, especially when you can get the PC V for under 300 from Jamie. Instead of going back and paying for a new download, you send Jamie and email and he sends a new map.....

Download was free as part of the sale. Gonna run it hard tomorrow and see if it gets better. If not, will definitely give Jamie a call.

+1 I really love the PCV My bike runs flawlessly. I had Jaimie do a little tweaking to the map that I got when I ordered the PCV and now it is PERFECT! I would recommend them to anyone.

Both, and then test drove it. Ran real good until the next day...weird.
