Take heart. I have a feeling that owning an '06 or prior is going to have it's advantages.
The only new bike I would be interested in would be a SE Ultra, and with that butt ugly leather tour pac, that ain't going to happen.

Bill

I agree - pretty soon the PCIII's will be black market products because the onboard puter will be protected - [>:] [:'(] [:@]

They finally got the Roadglide stripe right!!! For years it has been obvious that two different paint designers were doing the striping from the fairing to the tank. It never lined up (with the exception of the SE version). But now it does -- and looks 100% better!!! But why not continue the theme on that little piece just in front of the saddlebags? Hmmm... details, details....

OK let us not forget the old addage of "you never buy anything the first year it cmes out"
Cripes they are still working the bugs out of the 88 inch engine and the leaky primarys, the 25 degree injector issue, ignition switch on the 06's, radio problems, etc.
Most of the threads I read have some hint of HD QA issues.
That being said, I'll be happy to ride my 03 FLHTPI TYVM.
I think there are going to be some serious issues with modability of these new bikes. I don't want to sound like a conspiricy theorist but I suspect that starting with the elimination of some of the SE pipes, the MOCO has crawled into bed, albeit at gunpoint, with the EPA.
If I were in the market for a new bike, I'd be trying to get a discounted 06, and hoping I got one of the "good"ones.
