Very easy to move around when bike is not on it; I haven't tried nor do I want to when the bike is on it. It seems that this lift is nice and solid. Not sure about the rear side panels, but I'm sure that you could look at Handy's website or any other manufacture and see which ones accomodate trikes, and see if you couldn't replicate theirs panels. Hey, 48 bucks is still alot better than paying 80. I got lucky with my coupons this time around!!
