Power Commander V failures, anybody had this problem
#41
yeah i dug it out deep but hey i had to see if anyone was having any of the same issues. thinking back now on it i should have went with the power vision. Had great luck with the PC V on my King so I stuck with her. Anyway got the new one on and new map from Jamie and she runs great. Just not used to having to start the Glide up after i switch her to run. But if this is what i gotta do I will.

my 2014 street glide has had problems with the power commander since day one. had the bike three months now sent five different maps and firmware upgrade, no engine codes, unplugged the bike runs fine, now, plugged in the idle was at 2000 rpms and slowly came back down to 1000, now today it stays at 2000, sending it back, never had a problem with power commander before on my last 10 bikes just the 2014

Yes I have had this problem on my 2000 Road King Classic. I originally installed a PC3usb and it worked very well until I had to replace the battery. Once the new battery was installed the PC3usb failed, the bike would not start as if it were being fuel starved. Once I reconnected the standard ECM it started and ran as it did pre-PC3usb installation. After paying a few hundred to HD and shipping back to Dyno the said the the PC3usb was not able to work with the RK 2000 and a new ECM. They replaced it with a new PC5 and said it would work fine. It did for about 4 months until I disconnected the battery to clean the terminals. After I re-connected the battery the PCV failed. The bike would barely start, run miserably and stall on idle. The Dyno support tech said it should never have run in the first place and the product support guy says it will. I am looking for a newer Road King
